Located in the historic town of Pontville, north of Hobart, Twelves Stones Restaurant is the heritage listed Uniting Church building, that has now been restored. The church was built in 1874, and obtains an amazing sense of character and history. Twelve Stones has undergone an extensive renovation and modern extension that boasts an alluring charm and appeal, and has become a highly sought after venue for private functions and special occasions. The owners have created a boutique style establishment that’s licensed to seat 70 people (or more for cocktail style events). Twelve Stones is a modern Australian menu that focuses on fresh locally sourced produce that goes perfectly with the Tasmanian wines we serve.
Our venue is situated in a stunning setting, and all our staff are friendly & professional, with the highest level of customer service always shown. Twelve Stones Restaurant is fully licensed, and offers both restaurant & casual dining for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or even a relaxing glass of wine with friends. Our Cellar Door is dedicated to showcasing the boutique wine producers of the Tea Tree sub-region of Tasmania’s Coal River Valley, and offers tastings to customers along with cellar door sales daily.
